I can name a billion new bands I think you should listen to, but my pinkies hurt, and that’s a lot of words. How’s three? Will that do?
Man Without Wax – Seattle indie/post-hardcore. They just signed to Eyeball Records, so I’M already sold, but for those of you who don’t stalk the Eyeball back catalog, they show a blazing and solid rock bit. Give it a whirl.
Wolftron – Side project from Kenny Choi from Daphne Loves Derby. Also just signed to Eyeball Records. These jams are more on the mind-easing acoustic (slightly electronic) indie-pop side , but they are charming like the swooners from DLD. I’m listening right now, and I feel like I am riding on a wave. Wooo.
Team Goldie – High-octane pop-punk MC with an Apple computer. He’ll make you dance. Like hard. And without reservation. Oh, and he’s from PA, which is close enough to Maryland that he’s like a half-local.
No matter how hard we try, we just can’t get that cat to put away his junk.
